This two-day tour will visit a studio involved in traditional textiles in the Nishijin area and an exhibition of traditional crafts and contemporary art held at a temple in the Nishijin area.
Approximately 3 hours per day. You will be responsible for your own accommodations.

2.Multiple Layers Dyeing

Workshops of exhibiting artists at Première Vision in Paris
This tour allows you to visit the residences and workshops of actual artisans who do not usually offer craft experiences.
You can experience the real site of the crafts, which you have never experienced before.
2nd day
1.Myourenji Temple (Assembly)
The bell tower, winter cherry blossoms, and the sixteen arhat stone garden, which have remained from the Edo period, are exhibited along with contemporary art.
Genius Art and the glass art of Hon Ami XVII
2.Honpo-ji Temple
The graves of Hon’ami Koetsu and Hasegawa Tohaku are located here.
Mari’s garden
3.Myokakuji Temple
Temple where Sen no Rikyu held tea ceremonies and Oda Nobunaga used as an inn
Exhibition of works by Nishijin hikifoil artisan
4.Myokenji Temple
Temple used by Toyotomi Hideyoshi as an inn
Exhibition of straw art, garden art, and traditional crafts
